New Hot Tub Covers Keep Your Spa Running Right

There’s nothing quite as enjoyable or relaxing as a long hot soak in the hot tub after a hard days work. It’s almost like heaven when you pull back the hot tub covers and catch that first glimpse of light shining out from the bubbling steamy water below. The light seems to just dance there on the surface as you slip your tired aching body against the pulsating jets. “Ahh” is all you can muster as you thank your old friend for the treatment.

But nothing can ruin the spontaneity of a rejuvenating dip in the spa faster than dirty and contaminated water. Imagine coveting that long hot soak as you navigate rush hour after a stressful day at the office. The boss screamed at you. The client threatened to walk. It seemed like the day would never end. Your only relief was knowing that all your troubles were behind you and all that was in front of you was relaxation. But because your hot tub cover is old and tattered you threw it out, and the high winds in the area last night blew a hornets nest of dust, leaves, and particles into your spa. Even worse, you never bothered to change the hot tub filter and now the water looks a little green rather than the sparkling blue you enjoy. It looks like you’re going to be cleaning out that hot tub instead of enjoying it. So much for a relaxing work free evening.

Unfortunately all too many people aren’t able to enjoy the benefits of their hot tub thanks to sun baked and damaged spa hot tub covers and neglected water systems. Not only does the water get ruined, often times particles can slip by the filters and gunk up the motors and piping. Have you ever sat in a hot tub that had weak jets, or some that worked and some that didn’t? It’s probably due to damage caused from a faulty hot tub cover.

It’s important to take care of your hot tub. After all hot tubs can cost upwards of thousands of dollars. They are great retreats for relaxing moments alone, romantic nights with a spouse, or even enjoyable get togethers with neighbors and friends. Everyone enjoys a good soak and coming away from a dip in the hot tub feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. But a poorly cared for hot tub is a health risk and an eyesore in your yard.

If you have children hot tub covers are a safety must. Small children can just as easily drown in a hot tub as a pool. If you’re planning on letting your kids play outside and enjoy the yard you want to make sure you have a secured fitted hot tub cover protecting their best interests. Hot tub covers also keep pests like mosquitoes from laying eggs in your water and pets from falling in and getting burned or hurt.

So you want a way to relax and enjoy the outdoors any time of the year. You want a hot tub. You want your own personal slice of spa heaven in your backyard. But what you don’t want is to delay using your spectacular retreat because you didn’t take care of it. Make sure to replace your spa filter and chemicals regularly and upgrade that old cover every couple of years. Take care of your hot tub and it will take care of your tired bones for plenty of years to come.
